Website in a Day

This is an idea made especially for micro- and small-business clients. Two of the chief determiners of cost on web site development projects are time and authority. For example, when decisions about a web site are deferred or changed due to one or more "cooks in the kitchen", you add time and expense to the project. There's always a great deal of uncertainty about cost in web development, because there are too many unknowns.

What if we could nail down the uncertainty? With Website in a Day, we aim to do just that. We'll provide a fixed-cost solution to a client by doing two things: investing much of the authority in a single person (the business owner) as well as the developer, and getting the job done in one day.

It's surprising what can be accomplished in one day, given sufficient preparation. When the client draws up much of the final content, the developer arrives in the morning, sets up in their work environment, and both designs and implements the site before 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Clients love it because they know the price right away, plus they've got a complete site in their hands.

Currently, we're moving WIAD from a solution constrained to the Greater Toronto Area, to a dispersed presence in several cities.
